What Do Google Do To Make Google Translation Perfect?

Google translate continued to make improvement in translating so it become easier to use. Usually it translates word by word but now they try to make it as natural as possible. As published on Slash Gear, improvements in neural machine allows users to translate a sentence so that the translation would be more readable or understanable. In the beginning, neural machine originally created to translate from and to English, German, French, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, Turkish and Korean. Not only that, Google has just announced that they also add to Hindi, Russian, and Vietnam. But this new languages will only be available in translate app for Android and iOS. Google also plans to add some other languages but it's still secret. Google translate has some limitation too like another automatic translation tools. It doesn't provide an accurate translation.

Weekly Reflection (this blog ain't help me on my grammar)

Oh my God! This is my fourth weekly reflection which is mean it has been a month since I wrote my first article on this blog. I can't believe that I've written this blog for a month. I feel so grateful that I could through all of this. At first it was hard for me to do this assignment. Especially to find an idea, like what I said before on my third weekly reflection. But after a month I can tell that this blog was worth my time.
This blog really helps me on my vocabulary. I'm not going to say that this blog helps me on my grammar because to be honest, I don't even know if my grammar on this blog it's all correct or the opposite. Nobody correct my grammar all of this time. I don't know why. Maybe because they also don't know whether it's correct or not. Or maybe because nobody read my article. I feel a little bit sad when I know the fact that no one read my article. However I made this for an assignment. I just need my lecturer to read all of my post and take a mark.
Well, I hope this blog can help me on my grammar someday. Maybe the day is not coming now. But I believe someday it will.

What North Korean People Think of Donald Trump?

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, often gives comment about North Korea. But what are North Korean people thinking about Donald Trump? Have you ever wondered what were crossing their mind when they heard that name? Well, CNN of the United Stated had. They went to North Korea in order to ask the North Korean people themselves. It was not easy to interviewed North Korean people because they're not familiar with journalist, especially with foreign journalist. CNN chose Pyongyang Park to interviewed local people due to their daily activity mostly done there. According to Yu Gwang Chol, one of the North Korean people, every Norh Korea people only knows that the President of the United Stated had changed. Just that. Outside of that is not really important for them. For Gwang Chol, the United States always unfair for North Korean people. "We don't care who is in charge to lead the United States, the point is when is exactly they are going to stop the policy of hostility with us," said Gwang Chol. Another local people, Park Chol Song also add "we don't interested in the US because we prefer to talk something which happen in our country. we just want a better correlation between North Korea and the US."

It's not a secret that many of people often faked their attendance. Even since from college, or maybe high school. People tend to be more hard-working when their boss or teacher watching them. But what will happen to some of you, who work at a big company, if you faked your attendance? Well I guess it's not going to work out if you work at Microsoft. Bill Gates has his own way to know whether his employee faked their attendance or not. He is not going to check his employee one by one every day through CCTV. Absolutely not. He know very well every license plate of his employee. It's a little bit scary to know a lot like that but really helpful. It makes the employee discipline. Well, what do you think?

What is English? Is it a cake? Place? Or what? English is a language which is used by most people all over the world besides mandarin. What do you think will happen when you don't understand english? Embarrassed? Hunger? Die? Yes, all of those possibility may happen because nobody knows what will happen when you don't understand this universal language. And I'm pretty sure you will have hard times like Naoyuki Oi. He is a pool player from Japan who won the World Pool Masters' Gibraltar yesterday. After beat Cheng Yu Hsuan, a Korean pool player, he was interviewed by Tony Wrighton of Sky Sports. As reported by Telegraph, Oi has lack in english so he answered the question from Tony in different ways. He said something unique such as "Congratulations me!" and "No English, no problem. Every time, happy!" which made the audience laughed. The laughter even get louder while Oi showed his funny face expression when he was replying Tony's question. Weekly Reflection (Love about something you write and write about something you love)

February 17th, 2017

This is my third reflection this month. I think my vocab gets better day by day since I write this blog. Still, I don't have any idea on my grammar. I bet it's awful. At first, I don't think that I can do this task. But I am doing it until now. And I know I can do it. I just need to stay focus and write.

As I say at the weekly reflection before, I got stuck when it came to idea. I've been trying very hard to get those idea this whole time by the way. I hope my hardwork all paid someday. Well, I've been thinking like "maybe if I write something that I love about, the ideas will come itself." So I think I could start from something I love to let the idea flow by itself. I love Korea, both K-drama and K-pop. But I am not one of those fans who will kill themselves when their idols got married. Well, I still got my senses.

As I expected, it was easier for me to write something about Korea, because I like it. However I can't write whatever I want about Korea. I don't think that whatever happens in Korea are worldwide issue. I picked carefully the issue that I want to write on my blog. I've choosen the issue that goes worldwide so everybody can read my blog.

When I Was Little, Everyone Called Me Dirty

When Michelle Lee was a guest on "Hello", where a Nigerian man came onto the show to break stereotypes. The man revealed that even though he's been living in Korea for 9 years, he was still tortured by stereotypes. He said, "People keep avoid me saying I'm scary. Well,
I am not scary or a bad person." Not only that. He was told that he couldn't rent places due to stereotypes which says that black people are dirty. After he said that, Michelle Lee agreed and said, "When I was little, no one sat next to me on the bus. My friends' parents would tell them, 'Don't touch her, she's dirty'. The reason why I was able to overcome all my hardships is because there were people who loved me. Live for them. It'll make you happier."
As you see, her skin color is darker than the average Korean people. Her father is an African American man who married to a Korean woman. It's  not her fault to be black. It was the fault of our society. They only made black people feel bad for being black. And made white people feel superior somehow. We need to stop this stereotypes as soon as possible before they take control of the world.

Behind his achievement there was something which must make him feel ashamed. Back on December of 2016, he forcefully grabbed the ring girl at 'Road FC Young Guns 31' when they are about to took photos. You can see in the beginning of the video below that the girl still have to smile because of her job even though Park Dae Sung touched her waist so many times. And on February 11, when it came the time for him to take pictures after winning the match, we can see that Park Dae Sung was running away from the ring girl (starting at 02:20 in video below), refusing to take pictures with her. His action are due to the sexual harassment accusations which he had done last year.

Back in October, BTS hit 10 million views on youtube with Blood, Sweat, & Tears in 41 hours and became the fastest group to hit the magical number. However, the record was quickly beaten by TWICE, who recorded 10 million views in 40.5 hours with TT MV.

Just now, BTS took their title back with their new MV for Spring Day. The MV managed to reach the incredible amount of 10 million views in just 26 hours.

On top of that, the MV now has more than 1 million likes on YouTube. It's harder to get likes than views, as one person can watch multiple times but can't 'like' a video more than once.

Weekly Reflection (Once I didn't know what to write)

Maria Stephanie
Writing A
February 10th, 2017

Hi. It's me again. This is my second week of making this blog and I found it a little bit difficult. What's make it difficult it's not in the writing. Of course I made a lot of mistake when I wrote the blog. Especially the grammar error. But it wasn't the main problem.
I spent about one to three hours per day just to find an inspiration. Now I just realize that it was crazy. I wasted my time on searching inspiration instead of really write the blog. I didn't know what to write so I just typed "issue in the world" at the Google then there was so much that came out. I need to filter it one by one. I couldn't just take everything and copy it to my blog. NO. A big NO. Because I have to stay consistent. I think consistency can make a blog more interesting.
One day I feel depressed and feel like don't want to do this anymore. I even typed "I don't know what to write on my blog" because I couldn't find any inspiration. Then something came out. It was like magic. Google answered my wish. I found a site that would give me ideas for free. Thank you Google. Somehow I feel like I owe you my life for a moment. But soon after I tried the site, the result that they give it wasn't like what I imagined. I start to feel depressed again.
It was hard for someone who don't know what's going on in the world, like me, to write something about issue in this world. Even though I have read the Google to know what's going on. Still it couldn't help since google mostly show articles which is difficult to understand by me. Next time I hope my inspiration can come like rain, keep falling no matter what.

Ridiculous Fact

Maria Stephanie

February 10th, 2017
What do you think the most important issue in this world? The issue that has to be fixed as soon as possible? Terrorism? Poverty? Lack of clean water? Hunger? Climate change? The answer is no. None of these problem are the most important issue in this world.  So what is it? Two percent of the people surveyed said they're still thinking about what the world's biggest problem is. They answered that they simply didn't know. That's our problem. The most important issue in this world is people don't know about what's going on in this world. They don't even care about it. Some of them think that the world is still going to be okay with or without them. What do you think about this? Are you one of them? Better you are not. However, if you are one of them, I'm gonna tell you that it's not too late to care about your world, your region, your city, or maybe just your neighborhood. This case are very popular among teenagers. Teenagers these days don't know about anything. They don't even know  the reason why they live but they also don't want to die. It's ridiculous but true. They just care about themselves and something they love. This new generation don't care if it is something like poverty, terrorism, climate change, etc. We, as teenagers, must change this saying-I-don't-know-to-everything habit. We need to start know something about this world. It's okay if you know just a little. That's a good start.

More Fruit in a Rich Man's Shampoo than a Poor Man's Plate?

Maria Stephanie

February 9th, 2017

Sometimes this world can be a little bit strange. There are more fruits in a rich man's shampoo than a poor man's plate. Can you imagined that? It's ridiculous. However it's true. The cost of fruit are getting higher and not every fruit can be bought by everyone. There are some fruit which is very expensive so only certain people can buy it. But I'm not gonna give highlighting on the expensive fruit. I know they are expensive because of some reason such as they are rare to be found or they hard-grown or something like that. I am just wondering why fruit that can be found everywhere be expensive too.  They are not supposed to be expensive so poor people can afford it too. Poor people need fruit and its nutrition.

The Dark Side of a Candy

Who doesn't like candy? Most people like candy. It has sweet taste. You need to eat that when you are having a bad day. Somehow it can increase your mood. But now I'm not going to tell you why it can be your mood-booster. I'm going to warn you that it's not good to have candy in a large amount. You may have a bad day, bad week, or worst month of the year but it doesn't mean that you are allowed to eat candy everytime you feeling terrible because you will feel the negative side from a candy. Obviously you don't want to feel the dark side from a candy, right? Wait. Do you know the dark side from a candy? Let me tell you. First, you will gain weight. Of course you don't want this nightmare come. Second is, it will reduces your nutrition intake. It also can make decay on your teeth. Last but not least, it will increase the risk of disease. The common disease that you get from eating too much sweet is diabetes.

Be Careful in Giving Your Kindness

Maria Stephanie
Writing A
February 7th, 2017
The crime rates increased very high lately. This is happening everywhere, not just in our country. This is a bad news for all of us. And you know what? These days people are using our kindness to do something bad. Let me give you an example. One day, there was a boy who drove a car. He drove his car at normal speed. Then he saw a little girl in the middle of the street. The little girl has been hurt and there was no car or someone who seemed could help that girl. So the boy decided to stop his car on the roadside. When the boy was helping the little girl, he forgot to lock his car because he was panic. Then the mother of that little girl suddenly appeared behind the boy. The mother sneaked in to the car and take everything that seemed expensive to her. After that, the boy came back to his car to take something that could help the girl, and then he realised that he was robbed.  But it was too late. It turns out that the little girl and her mother decieved the boy. From this example we learn that people are using our kindness for their advantages. So it's not our fault if we won't help each other. We are too afraid to help each other because there are so many case like this. We might be the victim if we are not really paying attention.  I am not saying that we must not help strangers. I am just saying that we should be careful in giving help. We need to know whether that person is worth our help or not.

A Wallflower

Maria Stephanie
Writing A
February 6th, 2017

Wallflower. Have you heard it? Wallflower is someone or something with an introverted personality type (or in more extreme cases, social anxiety) who will attend parties and social gatherings, but will usually limit themselves to standing away from the crowd and simply acting as an onlooker. Usually in party, wallflowers will literally stand against a wall and simply watch the crowd. Even though if there are some people who come to them and start a conversation, they will cut the conversation quickly because they don't want people aware that they are there. Wallflowers also will turn down any attention. This can be caused by anxiety, lack of social skills, or another mental conflicts. But honestly, you will rarely find a wallflower at parties because they rather be at home than at crowded place. However, staying at home all day or all week doesn't make you a wallflower. There are ways to detect whether you are a wallflower or not. A wallflower usually a daydreamer who loves being alone. They wear mostly black, but I am not saying that if your closet full of black outfit make you a wallflower. Nowadays black is one of the coolest colour beside white, so what I mean black is a colour that doesn't draw attention too much like neon colour. Then a wallflower don't do dancing and small talk. They hate that because they think it will draw too much attention to them. So, are you a wallflower? If you are not a wallflower then congratulations. But if you are a wallflower then you should read The Perks of Being a Wallflower, a book written by Stephen Chbosky. It's about a boy named Charlie who is a wallflower. Or maybe you can just watch the movie. The title is the same, The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

Weekly Reflection (Write)

I've never imagined that someday I will write a blog. But here I am. Write a blog. I'm not gonna write it everyday. I will just write it every Monday until Friday. Why? Because one of my lecturer ask me so. And this is my first week. Actually I didn't do this on my own will. My lecturer ask me to do it like what I've said before.
At first, I find it hard to write a paragraph. I must search inspiration for hours before I write my first paragraph on this blog. I don't know what to write because I've never write something that will be read by many people. So I started with music since everyone loves music. There are saying that "music makes one." Who doesn't love music in this world?
After 3 days writing this blog, I started to think that this is not a bad idea. It's good to have someone that forced you to do something sometimes. If he didn't ask me, I would probably never done it. It makes me more fluent in using english slowly, especially in choosing vocabulary. I hope after a month doing this assignment, my english become better.
My lecturer said that we must write about issue in this world every weekdays. I'm gonna write about issue in this world, but not the common issue which have been printed on newspaper. I find it a little bit boring if I discuss about politics, economy, and something like that. I am interested on issues that are rarely discussed in public but really affect the society. However it is only a plan. Nobody knows if someday I will write about issue that have been printed on newspaper or magazine. It may happen.

No Way Back

Do you have problem? Of course you are. We all have problem. What should we do when we have problem? Fix it. Don't run from it. Never. It only makes it bigger. But some people run from it. The most common way they use is commit a suicide. Most teenagers love to commit suicide. Why I'm saying this? Because every year, the amount of teenagers who commits a suicide is getting higher. They think once that they are dead, there will be no more problem. Of course your problem won't disappear. It may look like disappear but in fact you only change it into someone else's problem. Your death become a burden for someone else. Especially your family. They may think that your death is their fault to not give you enough attention so you commit a suicide. You can do drugs. Or maybe alcohol. However I don't suggest you to do drugs and alcohol. But why commit a suicide? You may regret it once you do suicide. But it's too late. You are dead. You can't alive again. Suicide doesn't work like "I want to run from my problem. I will commit a suicide," then you become a ghost and see your mom have been crying for hours and you regret it and pray "God, I don't want to see my mom crying. Can You just take me back to life?" and God grant your wish and then you alive. No. You wrong. No matter how sorry you are, there are no way you can come back.

LOST

Eye contact. Catching feelings. Kissing. Perhaps sleeping together. And ending as strangers. This generation has lost meaning of romance. We toss around "I love you" like our "hello". Very easy. Even some of us give our bodies to people who don't care. And most adults rape the rest of us, who maybe don't even know what romance is, like we are nothing. This is insane. Someone have to save our generation. Someone who will bring hopes for this generation. Maybe someone isn't enough. This generation need more than someone. We need the whole world to take us back to the right path. To teach this generation what love is. To tell this generation that we must love our bodies so we don't have to give it for someone to loves it anymore. People only know how to criticize our generation. They forget who raised it.

THINK TWICE

Enemy. What do you think about it? What crossed your mind while you read that word? Is it good if we have one or more? I don't really know what crossed your mind, I'm not a mind reader. But there is one thing that I know and believe it's true. Anything that first cross your mind is something that you learn from society and what comes next is something that defines who you are. Some people think that having an enemy is good because that's mean you stand up for something. And the rest of them think that having an enemy is a bad sign because you must have done something wrong. It doesn't matter which one that have crossed your mind. What matters is your second thought. This is your inner voices. Don't deny it. Listen to it. Forget about your first thought. Remember, there is a reason why elders are often say "think twice before you say something."
